The rib sheets of Jordbærmarken create a rural atmosphere and inspire children to play outdoors

In the Syddjurs municipality, the desire for a forest and nature institution has led to the construction of the Børnehuset Jordbærmarken. Here, AART ARCHITECTS have designed, and the contractor Vognsen & Co. have built a children's house where there is space for play in nature, while the building is strongly inspired by classic farm constructions.

At the Børnehuset Jordbærmarken, the rib sheets on the façade emphasize the rural atmosphere, while the warmer wood materials complement with a touch of coziness. Rib sheets have historically been used primarily for agricultural buildings, but today, lengths and colors can be customized, allowing rib sheets to be integrated into many different types of constructions - for example, in a nature institution like the Children's House Jordbærmarken.

With rib sheets from DS Stålprofil, you get a façade cladding that is both timeless and durable. Additionally, rib sheets are also an economically attractive solution compared to materials like slate or fiber cement.

During the construction of the Children's House Jordbærmarken, AART ARCHITECTS and Vognsen & Co. have focused on sustainable materials and solutions. Large parts of the institution's façade are clad with DS' rib sheets in aluzinc, thus taking a front position in the institution, where efforts have also been made to integrate the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainability is also important for DS Stålprofil, and therefore, we work, among other things, with the recycling of building materials. This ensures that as little as possible of our resources go to waste, and the amount of waste and pollution is minimized.
