Past innovation "paves the way" for today's craftsmanship
Quality, innovation and development are words that certainly apply to P.O. Pedersens Vej. In addition to well-known neighbours like IKEA, JYSK and STARK, Bytømreren is now moving into the area as well, with its new headquarters located right here.
The name P.O. Pedersen may not ring a bell for most people, but the street is named after a Dane who is a part of history. Fittingly for the new residents of the street, Peder Oluf Pedersen was a qualified civil engineer. Besides his strong interest in construction, he was deeply involved in technology and played a key role in paving the way for radio as we know it today.
With a street name rooted in hard work and values that align with Bytømreren's focus on quality and its Jutland heritage, the new headquarters "clicks" well with our DS Nordic Click Seam 475. The steel profile’s clean and minimalist appearance tells the story of Bytømreren’s attention to detail, just as our profiles are also carefully designed and manufactured.
Strong style for the carpenter’s headquarters
The design of the headquarters is marked by strength and robustness. This is a headquarters where our steel profiles play a key role in the building’s expression. With a combination of steel and concrete, the building reflects the architectural style of Brutalism. Although the word may sound “brutal”, the Danish Architecture Centre describes the style as one that conveys process and honesty.
The combination of concrete and black steel profiles works well, complementing each other in both colour and design. The sharp edges, matte finish and streamlined look create a building that radiates robustness and solidity.
DS Nordic Click Seam is one of our strongest products. It makes no compromises when it comes to functionality, strength or appearance. When constructing a new headquarters, the durability of the facade cladding is essential. It ensures the longest possible lifespan of the facade, while keeping maintenance and replacement to a minimum.
At DS Stålprofil, we offer a wide range of profiles with surface treatments that can withstand the climatic conditions they are exposed to. You can read more about which surface treatments provide maximum longevity for your profiles on our inspiration page for architects.
