A steel façade with character provides room for sport organizations

At Ringsted Sportscenter, numerous associations come together under one roof to share the facilities both inside and outside the hall. This allows you to engage in activities ranging from swimming and shooting to tennis and gymnastics – and everything in between. Over the years, these organizations have had even more space to enjoy as Ringsted Sportscenter expanded with an extension connecting all the center's facilities.

The extension evokes associations with both aircraft and bird wings, thanks to its distinctive silhouette when viewed from the gable side. The subtle break in the opposite sloping roof creates the illusion that the roof can almost lift off the building at any moment – much like gymnasts lifting off the floor in a jump indoors, or swimmers rising from the pool floor to cut through the water.

The façade, welcoming all athletes inside, is covered with DS Format Nature. This gives the façade a both contemporary and modern expression, and approaching it closely, you can sense the delicate interplay arising from the galvanized sheets.

DS Format Nature can withstand the test of time

A sports center must endure both indoor and outdoor use, and here DS Format Nature plays a crucial role for Ringsted Sportscenter. The sheets have a thickness of 3 mm, making them less prone to dents. The façade, therefore, stays neat even when balls are played against the wall, or bicycles are parked at the entrance. This not only extends the lifespan of the façade, benefiting those responsible for maintaining the building, but also helps keep resource consumption down.

Steel cladding provides a unique patina

DS Format Nature consists of hot-dip galvanized flat sheets, and this treatment can give your project a completely unique appearance. Galvanization ensures that each plate appears unique when viewed up close, as a special pattern emerges on the surface. Over time, a distinctive patina also develops on the surface of DS Format Nature, contributing to the attractive and raw appearance of the sheets.
